CANDLE CARE

¨ When lighting your candle for the first time, do not extinguish until melted all the way to the sides. This prevents tunneling and creates an even burn for the rest of your candle.

¨ Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. This will promote a steady flame and limit soot and mushrooming of the wick.

¨ Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours. This causes the glass to heat to extremes and could cause the glass to shatter or explode

¨ Do not blow out your candle. This can cause wax splatters. Instead, dip the wick into the wax pool and then stand upright. This also prevents wick from smoking.

¨ There is a possibility your candle may overflow from it’s container. Please place it on a heat proof surface that you don’t mind getting wax on. A saucer is a perfect option.

¨ Never burn your candle to the very bottom. Always leave at least 1cm of wax in the bottom so the glass doesn’t heat up and possibly explode.

SOAP CARE

Handmade soap is a vastly different creature than store bought, so it needs a smidge of care to perform to the best of it’s ability. Handmade soap contains glycerin and that can retain more mositure which means if you leave it sit in water as well, it’ll just end up a big, mooshy mess. Always store your soap away from where it’ll be wet constantly, and if possible, use a soap dish that drains really well. Keeping your soap dry between showers is key.
